Salem

Salem, Massachusetts was first settled by Europeans in 1626. It was incorporated as a town in 1629 with land that included parts of Beverly, Danvers, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Marblehead, Methuen, Peabody, and Wenham. It was incorporated as a city in 1836.
