Culture and Politics in the 1970s

    Using his book, The Seventies, Boston University’s Dr. Bruce Schulman will lead this seminar on the culture and politics of the 1970s with special attention to the Watergate scandal. Archivists from the National Archives and Records Administration in Waltham, MA will introduce teachers to NARA’s vast resources on the politics of this era.

Using ESSEX History will address four core themes in American history. These four themes are listed below. Teachers will find materials that relate to specific topics linked to the appropriate heading. Any subjects that relate to more than one theme will be linked to all of the appropriate headings.
